I Thought He Was Superman...

I haven't posted in ages and felt I should. so, here goes. I have had this comic in my collection for quite some time but every time I look at it it always makes me laugh. It's Superman fighting Ali in a boxing match. It is a large format comic which seemed to be the standard for these weird crossovers(I have a Superman Vs. Spider-man, and a Superman vs. Wonder Woman in this same format). It was released in the prime of Ali's career and low and behold Ali actually beats Superman, with the help of red sun boxing gloves. Anyways, its kind of random showing a pic of the comic but I also think its pretty funny.
Ps- The inside cover is a picture of the crowd that was in attendance with a numbered list. you can see the head in the crowd and check the number to see what celebrity it is. The Jackson Five apparently came to this match.

Hip-Hop or DnB...

I made this beat the other day and I'm not sure if I should keep it at 140bpm as a fast almost DnB like track or slow it down to 95bpm where it sounds like a Hip-Hop track. Personally, i think faster and more intense is better but most of my friends like the slower one better. Oh well

Kremlin Palace...

Here is another beat I made. I think it's pretty cool and catchy. I called it Kremlin Palace because wile I was making it the samples looked like the Kremlin. well, here's the beat. It has a bit of a DnB feel to it. enjoy

Doesn't this look like the Kremlin?

GIN...

Here is my final assignment for digital photography. It's a picture of my favorite thing to drink, gin, and my favorite brand, Bombay sapphire. The bottle came out really cool and I think the balance and contrast worked well. It has been touched up pretty heavily in LightRoom to make the bottle really look like crystal

Love Triangle...

I noticed today that a very strange love triangle is a brewing among my Star Trek magnets. It seems Kirk and Spock are an item. Unfortunately, bones gets no love. On the other side the two bad dudes finally found love. Good going guys

I Love The Devil...

I made a beat today during commercial breaks. For some reason it reminded me of the devil. It just seemed like if the devil had a theme song it would be a cross between blues and techno

Astronaut Haiku...

I must be really bored today because I almost never post twice in one day. O well. I wrote this haiku instead of doing some real work. I thought up a haiku and then tried to make an illustration

Back When I Was 11...

Before I was calling myself Chemical Robotiks online it was Xerox-Copy. I would say this was circa 1998 when I was 11. I had a free website back then where I basically did what I do today on this blog, post pictures of images I was making on the computer, the only difference is now I get payed for some of them. anyways, here is just one of the many tipped out images from my 11 year old mind. I just remembered this site a few days ago and thought it would be interesting to check it out and see if it was still up

I think I've always loved Picasso

ISSUE-zero Cover...

I've talked about ISSUE-zero magazine before but in case you missed that post it's going to be a small magazine out of Toronto focused on art and lifestyle. If all thing go correct it should be available next summer and the website should be up any day now. I have been told it is finished, but I don't think it's up yet. I did the layout work for the first issue, which looks awesome and the cover, which I'm posting. If you live in Toronto pick it up. It has a lot of great artists in it and some awesome stories.

Chemical Robotiks x Loonatik...

My friend Loonatik a.k.a Dwayne is one of the best rappers I have ever heard. He is crazy as hell, and sometimes violent, but he really is a good person at the end of the day. His lyrics on the other hand are pure violence, agony, and abuse but super entertaining. I posted the beat Daley and I were messing around with and thought to myself, hey maybe I should post some of the other beats I have been making in the quest to produce Loonatiks album. Anyways here they are. Although they are still very rough(Daley hasn't cleaned them up yet) some are still pretty cool. My two favorites would have to be the pleasure beat and the nightmare one. When the album is finished ill post the ones with the vocals. ENJOY

Beats Loonatik has picked so far...

Chemical Robotiks x Andrew Daley...

Ok, so here is how it went down last weekend. Myself and Daley made a drum snippet which sounded really cool and had an interesting jungle feel. We each had about an hour and two beers to make whatever we could out of it. We each went about it in different ways but I think both tracks came out really cool. Sometimes you drink and do nothing and other times you drink and mix music. It's all very odd

I love TORONTO...

I went out last night to photograph Toronto for an assignment I was doing. We had to take pictures of how we see Toronto. Since I always go out at night I took mine at night, because thats how I see Toronto. On this Adventure I got hassled by transit cops, asked to leave by security people, and pushed around by the police for taking pictures. I guess taking pictures really bothers people. Here is my favorite shot. Its a regular night on Young St.

Forbidden Fruit...

Well, I went to sleep last night, which was great, and now I'm feeling good. So, now it's back to more stuff I've been doing, like this piece. It's an orange, it isn't my favorite thing I've done, It's kind of boring, and here it is. It's still rough and I really don't want to work any more on it.
I had so much fun documenting my weekend that I decided to post a tour of my bedroom...instead of working on that forbidden fruit crap.

Dresser with big ass mirror
The junk on my dresser
Who is an ordained minister...I am
Part of my hat collection
The corner of my bedroom. I have my DNA painting back and I have my Daredevil poster
Other side of my window. Lil' Luke
A shelf to hold shit...like my spray paint
My chair, covered in clothes and my fireplace
The next three are the top of my fireplace from left to right
The little toys and my lighter
Painting and statue Kate did and gave to me
My mother fucking door
And a close up of the crap on my mirror

I realize most people don't give a fuck about what my bedroom looks like, or what I did on the weekend for that matter but this is the first and last time I'm doing this shit and it's fun to do. I think everyone should try it

A Weekend In The Life Of Luke...

Usually I post some work or an image I've been working on but that isn't whats going on this time. I spent the weekend chilling with my friend Noah, who is crazy, John who is a total live wire, and Daley, who smokes a shit load of weed. We spent most of this weekend together and I find myself taking a lot of pictures and videotaping a lot of what happens because it is so out there.

Friday:
Hanging out with John and Daley in O'Grady's drinking double pitchers. Below is Daley taking it to the head

Later on that night I met up with Caitlin and Sunny(monkey toes) and we had some more drinks and roasted marsh mellows. Sunny roasted hers with her feet.

Then we went back to Duce's house and my nose started pouring blood. It stopped and we hung out at Duce's house for hours watching TV and playing Nintendo and drinking Jager.Saturday:
No sleep from the night before. left Duce's house around 7am-ish and got breakfast. Watched a movie and got a call from Noah. Went out with Noah to see 30 days of night(which sucked)

This is Noah
This is him in action...

After a few hours and a plate of nachos with crazy Noah I was informed about a party where I would have to wear a shirt and tie and shave off my nasty beard...something I hadn't done in a wile. It was being held in a super swank hotel and when we got there it turned out to be the whole top floor and pent house were dedicated to this party. There were an assload of people there.

After:

Then I got dressed and we all (Duce, Daley, and myself) piled into Duce's car and drove to a crazy party until sunday morning.

Sunday:
I haven't slept at all the whole weekend and now I'm making this post. I usually have a pretty crazy weekend and this time I wanted to document it as much as possible because I though it would be funny. So, here it is. almost everything I did this weekend. There was more but it wasn't worth taking a picture of, in my mind at least.

Shirts From The Past...

I don't know why I didn't post this picture back when I posted the other finished shirt so many posts ago but here it is. I showed some of my other T-shirt designs a few posts back and here is the little girl T-shirt I did. It has flowers on the front and back printed in silver ink on a back shirt.

Zombie Disco T-Shirt...

A few posts back I showed the early artwork for the "freaks of the night" poster. well, the whole concept got changed and I had to start over. But, I did think that was a cool graphic so I stuck it on a template and submitted it to www.threadless.com. Check it out and vote away. I think it looks cooler as a t-shirt anyways

I really liked trying to make a skateboard design before so I thought I would try that out again. This time I tried to make it look like the solar system with stars floating around

More of The Same...

Like the title says here is another flyer. I have no idea when this one is going down. some time in the near future I'm guessing although some of these parties do get canceled. O well. I think I'm going to stop posting flyers because it's boring. Here is the Who Called Nine Eleven(911) flyer

Freaks Of The Night...

This is the early work for a party flyer happening sometime around Halloween. I haven't been sent the text yet so that why it isn't on there. It's supposed to be an outdoor party in this wooded area out by the Toronto Zoo. The poster has zombies and crazy colors because I heard it's a rave style party. It kind of looks like the zombies are dancing

Party Flyer...

Recently I've been doing work for a party planning company. They throw pretty cool parties and some illegal raves right here in Toronto. This image was created for a flyer card. I'll post more of my finished flyers as I finish them. This was the front of the card. Its kind of crazy and loud but that was what they were going for

Allies Of The UZI...

I've been really busy trying to finish the CD cover that I posted about several posts back. It's almost done and I'm really happy about that. At one point I got pretty Po'ed about it all and made another CD cover making fun of it. The Cd is called allies of the heart...here's the direction I wanted to go with it.

Andrew...

I have a friend named Andrew who looks like a cartoon character. I decided to draw a cartoon version of him and make stickers of the image which my friends and I put all around Toronto. Eventually there were so many of these stickers all around you could see Andrew everywhere. It was pretty funny going around the city because Andrew would turn up all over the place. If you have ever seen that image thats the story behind it.

...and here is Andrew

Blood Soaked Animals...

Here are some images of animals wearing Mexican wrestling masks. I did these a little wile back and really liked them.
